Why Bangladeshi students work with a certified counsellor

Malaysia is where most of our students start

A four-year degree in Malaysia costs roughly 40–60% less than the same degree in the UK or Australia, at universities that appear in the QS World University Rankings, taught in English, three and a half hours by air from Dhaka. For students who want a Western degree without the Western price, credit transfer and dual-degree routes finish the same qualification for a fraction of the total cost. MBBS, the UK and the rest

Medicine has its own rules. MBBS in China is BMDC-recognised at some universities and not at others — we check the current list with you before you pay anything. For working professionals, a DBA in the UK can be completed part-time without leaving Bangladesh. Is the counselling service at uniThink free?
Yes. Counselling, university selection, application handling and visa guidance cost Bangladeshi students nothing at any stage. uniThink is paid a commission by partner universities after a student enrols, not by the student.

How long does Malaysia student visa processing take?
EMGS approval usually takes three to eight weeks from the day a complete application is submitted. EMGS is the Education Malaysia Global Services body that screens every international student application. We track your file and tell you the moment the eVAL is issued.

Is MBBS in China recognised by BMDC in Bangladesh?
Only specific universities are recognised. The Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) publishes a list of approved foreign medical schools, and a degree from a university outside that list cannot be registered in Bangladesh. uniThink works only with medical universities on the current BMDC-recognised list, and shows you that listing before you apply.

Can I do a DBA in the UK without leaving Bangladesh?
Yes. Several UK universities run part-time and blended Doctor of Business Administration programmes designed for working professionals, with short residencies instead of full relocation. You keep your job in Dhaka and travel only for the residency blocks.

Which cities in Bangladesh does uniThink serve?

What is credit transfer from Malaysia to the USA or UK?
Credit transfer means completing one or two years of your degree at a Malaysian university, then transferring those credits and finishing the same degree in the USA, UK or Australia. The final degree certificate comes from the overseas university, at a much lower total cost than studying there for the full four years.

What does an "ICEF certified counsellor" actually mean?
It means the individual counsellor advising you has completed the ICEF Agent Training Course and passed its examination, which covers ethical student recruitment, destination knowledge and visa compliance. uniThink's counsellors have also completed the British Council UK Agent and Counsellor Training Course. Both are certifications held by the counsellor personally, so you are advised by a trained professional rather than a salesperson.

Can I study abroad with a low CGPA or a study gap?
Often, yes. Malaysia, Russia and Guyana accept study gaps of two to five years, and several universities admit students below a 3.0 GPA through foundation or diploma entry rather than direct bachelor entry. A counsellor will tell you honestly which countries your profile actually fits before you spend anything on applications.

When should I start my application for the next intake?
Start four to six months before the intake you want. Malaysia has January, May and September intakes, Chinese medical universities take MBBS students in March and September, and UK universities run September and January starts. Visa processing alone can take three to eight weeks, so an early start is what protects your intake.
