  • I applied to three universities through uniThink and got offers from all three. They were straight with me about which one my grades and budget actually fit, instead of pushing the most expensive one. EMGS took seven weeks and they tracked it the whole way.

  • My parents were nervous about sending me abroad at 18. The counselor sat with them twice and went through the costs line by line. No hidden fees turned up later — the figure we were given at the start is what we paid.

Questions

Malaysia — your questions answered

Is studying in Malaysia recognised in Bangladesh?
Yes, provided the university itself is recognised. We check the current recognition list for every institution before it goes on your shortlist — for medical programmes that means BMDC, and for other degrees the relevant accreditation body in Malaysia.

How much does it cost to study in Malaysia?
The budget table above shows indicative totals including tuition and living costs. The exact figure depends on the university, the city and your entry level, and we give you a written breakdown before you pay anything.

What are the intakes for Malaysia?
Most universities run two main intakes a year, with some offering a third. Applications should start three to six months before the intake you want, because visa processing needs its own runway.

Do I need IELTS for Malaysia?
Many universities accept an English-medium academic background or their own placement test instead of IELTS. Where IELTS is required, most bachelor programmes ask for 6.0 and masters programmes for 6.5.

Can I work while studying in Malaysia?
Work rights differ by country and visa type. We explain what your specific visa allows before you apply, rather than after you arrive.

How long does the Malaysia student visa take?
The visa steps above set out the route. Processing usually runs between three weeks and three months depending on the country and the time of year, which is why we file early.
